For general handyman services it is standard to charge by the hour with a minimum requirement of 1 hour of service. The hourly charge may depend on the value of expertise being hired per project. Most handyman projects are charged at a rate of $100 per hour. Some less technical projects may be charged at a rate of $85.00 per hour. Always remember though that you will not truly be paying for the hour but for the experience and professionalism of your handyman. Larger projects can be charged "by job," and will be given an estimate that reflects the industry standard. An example would be a new wood fence build. A new wood, privacy fence has an industry standard price per linear foot of $32 - $40.

Yes estimates may be itemized but only upon request. Generally all estimates are broken down showing total Labor and total Material cost. For most projects there will also be a required down payment of 35% or more prior to the start of a job.
